So many bird families!

Working from home and hearing the birds in my neighborhood this spring has me in better tune with the nesting and fledging cycle than when I am gone 8+ hours a day shut in an office building. This year, I was well aware of the cardinal nest in the overgrown rose bush near the front door and pair of robins building their muddy nest during a rainy couple of days and the chickadee family of 5 teaching the fledglings how to forage from the bird feeder.

Fledged chickadees learning where those tasty, energy packed seeds come from.
Robin chicks in the nest waiting for another snack from mom or dad.
